A shipping container is a durable steel box designed for transporting and storing goods securely. It is weather-resistant and widely used for storage, transport, and construction projects.
We offer 10ft, 20ft, and 40ft containers, including high cube and refrigerated options.
Standard containers are 8ft wide. A 20ft container is about 20ft long and 8.6ft high, while a 40ft container doubles the length. High cube versions are approximately 9.6ft high.
New (one-trip) containers have minimal wear, while used containers may show dents or surface rust but remain structurally sound.
With proper care, containers can last 15–25 years or more depending on usage and environment.
Delivery & Setup
Containers are delivered using tilt-bed or flatbed trucks, allowing controlled placement at your location.
20ft containers require about 60ft clearance, while 40ft containers need up to 170ft. A 12ft wide access path and 15–16ft overhead clearance are also required.
Permit requirements depend on your local regulations. Temporary use often does not require permits, but permanent or commercial use may.
Temporary setups may not need a foundation, but permanent installations benefit from concrete slabs or piers.
Delivery typically takes 3–7 business days for in-stock containers. Custom orders may take longer.
Maintenance & Care
Basic maintenance includes inspecting for rust, repainting when needed, lubricating door hinges, and ensuring seals remain intact to keep the container weatherproof.
Containers can develop surface rust over time, especially in humid or coastal areas. However, with proper coatings and regular maintenance, structural integrity is not affected.
Yes, shipping containers are built with strong steel frames and can handle heavy loads, including snow. However, excessive buildup should still be cleared for long-term durability.
