XPORT FAQ

Do you ship internationally, or just within the USA?

We primarily deliver nationwide across the USA. For international shipping needs, reach out to our team directly to discuss logistics and cost

Do reefer containers need a power source?

Yes. Refrigerated containers need a dedicated power hookup to run the cooling unit. If you’re using one for cold storage, make sure your site has appropriate electrical access before delivery.

How does delivery access work, what do you need at my site?

Delivery trucks require a clear, level path at least 60 feet long and 12 feet wide for standard tilt-bed delivery. Let us know about any tight access, overhead obstacles, or slopes when you request your quote so we can plan accordingly.

Can I customize my container after purchase?

Yes. We offer modifications including additional doors, windows, ventilation, shelving, electrical wiring, and insulation. Custom modification requests can be added to your order or arranged after delivery.

What condition ratings do your used containers come in?

Our used containers are graded Cargo Worthy (CW) or Wind and Watertight (WWT). CW containers meet international shipping standards and can be used for active freight, while WWT containers are fully sealed against the elements but not rated for ocean transport — ideal for storage.

Do you need a permit for a shipping container?

Requirements vary by city and county. Most residential placements don’t need a permit for temporary use, but permanent installations or commercial sites often do. We recommend checking with your local zoning office before delivery.
